Post by: spinal on August 13, 2009, 04:49:02 AM
Nickname: Spinal
Project name : DSi4DS
From : England
Division : NDS APP
Original enterty : YES
Support Motion : NO
In last NEO Compo this project have won in the top 10 : NO
Project description:

Ever wanted to use that nice DSi firmware menu, but
don't have the money or intention of buying a new
DSi console? Well here's your chance! DSi4DS looks
and feels just like the DSi firmware, but it will
run straight from a flash cart on your current DS
or DSLite. You can even load homebrew games and
applications from it!

Usage - Just extract the DSi4DS.NDS to the root of
your card. If you hava a photo you would like to
use on the top screen, make it 256x192, name it
photo.jpg and put ithat in the root of your card also.

Um... you know... It's just my opinion, nothing more... but, why on the root of the cart. It tends to get a little cluttered. Why not put the photo in the data folder?

not that I don't love it, but this is really just DSision2 with an updated skin.

Not really qualified as an "original entry" eh?

Actually, its a completely different project, its coded from the ground up. It has no skin support and doesn't even have all the features of DSision2. Would you consider someone entering a game that is similar to a previous game not to be an original entry?

Ah so you are correct, this may be original but definitely not as cool as DSision2.  Keep up the excellent work Spinal  ::sm-03::

Actually I would never consider "someone entering a game" to be "an original entry".
