Title: libdragon setup
Post by: Brainstorm on May 11, 2011, 06:59:02 PM
Hello,

I downloaded the linux buildscript from http://www.dragonminded.com/n64dev/ and successfully compiled the toolchain.
I also downloaded libdragon, but where do I have to put the files and everything to get the examples to compile? And how to compile them?

Thank you  ::sm-09.gif::

After you downloaded libdragon you have to compile and then install it.
So open the terminal, browse to the libdragon dir and type "make", press enter. Then "make install".
Also make sure you have the environment variables that point to the toolchain declared e.g. in /etc/environment before you try to compile anything.

If you have vmware you can download the xubuntu image from this thread (http://www.neoflash.com/forum/index.php/topic,6273.0.html), which already has setup everything.

Another quick question, is it possible to setup the windows toolchain to work in an IDE like code::blocks? And how?
This is as far as I get, but obviously it wont work like that without further settings

Any descent IDE should be able to do that , but you'll have to provide the paths of the include / lib / bin directories , and also configure the flags(especially arch flags) as well.
