The MK3 in neomax is 64+32 zip, this one is 512+no zip, and comes with a SD card and boot cart so you wont need a gba flash cart.

This is a big step forward indeed.
It means you don't need to buy any extra hardware. You have everything you need.
The only extra think you would need as I see it is a common SD card reader/writer.
It comes with an SD and a Neo Key(the smaller flashcart) which is preloaded with the menu, therefore you just pop it in and start playing!
And of course you can easily update the boot menu by copying the new one to the SD and flash it on the fly to the neo key.
No more need of a GBA flashcart and linkers !
Exellent job, and very good price indeed, less then $100 USD for the whole package....makes me wish to buy another one!

For less than $100 I'd buy another as well but ic2005 has them listed @ $119 and divineo doesn't even have it listed yet. I never have any problems with Divineo but based on what I hear about ic2005 I'd prefer not to order from them.

This what Ive been waiting for to get mine... LOL but of course Work cut my hours back so more time for development but no money to buy one... Maybe B day present lol...

I like the menu cart but... Would it be possiable to later one run GBA software using the menu cart.... Kinda like reverse what we been doing using GBA to play DS but now using DS to play GBA... cuz a 2gb SD would hold alot of DS and GBA games.... guess We can only wait and see... Which they gave us there plans for these menus.... since its obviously they have planed up to atleast menu 1.0

will the 2006 mk3 be available by itself?

I purchased a half assed neo max set for more than twice the cost of this and it seems worthless.  I'd rather keep the larger neoflash cart and use the new mk3.

What's the difference between the MagicKey 3 2005 and 2006?
Also, can I write the menu software to my MagicKey 3 2005 with the Neo-Max gba cart?

 What's the difference between the MagicKey 3 2005 and 2006? ---
[1] MK3 2005 don't come with the 128MB SD cart / usb 2.0 pen / NEO-key cart,but 2006 have.
[2] MK3 2005 have zip sram ,2006 don't have.

Also, can I write the menu software to my MagicKey 3 2005 with the Neo-Max gba cart? --- new menu (maybe 0.7) will start to use the MK3 16M menu flash, then you can burn it from SD to MK3 2005/2006.

Actually, the thingy that looks like a mini USB hard drive is a SD/MMC drive

MERCY.okay, here's what's got me addled.ive got the neo-max 8g,and ive pretty much got it figured out(i guess?);).there are only a handfull of ds games i cant get running(the ones people commonly have problems with i guess.mario and luigi,etc..-if i see one people have trouble with, ill try it[scientific research])anyway,im happy with where im at with it.i was going to get the 512 MK3,and a 1g neo-flash cart, and trickle my current setup to my son.is this new kit a cost-effective thing or something?what i am asking,is if you have a flashcart, instead of the boot cart,do you at least not have more options?also,if anyone can explain the zip implementation for the MK3 in the first place?i can go with my original plan and it will work fine for me,but if anyone has any suggestions, they would be much appreciated.thanks.

This is perfect! I was strugling to keep my 250 budget for my DS
I am getting a DS with MK (since i have PSP & Neo-psp now)

1: I never wanted a flash cart, i would of only used it to boot into MK3
2: More money i save the larger the SD i can buy
3: All-in-one for a reasonable price

This kit at $120 makes it really easy for any1 with a ds (<FW4) to get, and will really help spread the Neo name. I was considering purchasing a M3 or Supercard to keep price lower. Neoflash was lucky they released  this when they did or i may not have a MK. :'(

Also if the cart comes preloaded with Menu0.6 or 0.7 can we expect greater improvements on save/compatibility/ect.?

1) Will any future menu software use MK3 2005's zip sram?
2) You said new menu will use the MK3 16Mb menu flash.  Does this mean no NEO-key will be needed in the AGB slot?

1) Will any future menu software use MK3 2005's zip sram? --- yes i think so

2) You said new menu will use the MK3 16Mb menu flash.  Does this mean no NEO-key will be needed in the AGB slot?  --- when the new flashme support boot from MK3 directly, then you don't need the NEO-KEY anymore.

3) Also if the cart comes preloaded with Menu0.6 or 0.7 can we expect greater improvements on save/compatibility/ect.? --- the MK3 2006 just preload the 0.4,and present the Slim loader IV in the first batch, you can upgrade the NEO-KEY when new menu release.
