Everyone,

I've spent an extensive amount of time updating my mk2/mk3 user's guide recently (now includes ALL the information I know about the MK3 2006/ NEO-KEY and next version of flashme - subject to change if I get new info)  Thanks to cory for verifying the items I wasn't sure about myself

Key Points
1) With MK3 2006, you still need a flashcart if you want to play gba games on your ds since NEO-KEY has very limited flash memory (as far as I know, menu is going to eventually support gba games on the SD card, but they still need to be flashed to a cart in order to work).
2) You're going to continue to require a flashcart/NEO-KEY to boot, at least until the next flashme AND menu 0.7 are released.
2) The next flashme AND menu 0.7 will eliminate the flashcart/NEO-KEY requirement.  EXCEPTION: If the menu gets corrupted (such as when flashing from the SD card to the magic key itself), you may STILL need that flashcart/NEO-KEY in order to recover a previous/working menu.

About the neo-key cart...

How can we update the content of the key cart ? With the slim loader ?
How much memory has the nk cart ?

When you say that we still need a cart to play games, im not sure i understand completely. I guess you speak to Mk1/Mk2 users since as far as i am concerned, i never flash nds roms to the gba flash cart. I flash them to the MK3's internal memory and launch them from there. Eventhough the flash process is slow, every games i tested seemed very stable except for some minor saving issues with some roms. Otherwise I guess I missed something along the way.

Keep up the good work guys.

Slimloader IV, as has been announced, is going to be provided along with mk3 2006 until menu 0.7 is released..  Then, you won't need it anymore... new menu will be upgraded by flashing from the SD card directly to magic key itself.  Neo-key has very little flash memory -- you need a separate flashcart to store and run gba roms

When gba supports gets added to the menu, you won't be able to play them from internal memory/sd card.  You will only be able to run gba roms from the flashcart -- that's it...

Ive looked around for the new kit Mk3 512 2006 but they dont seem to provide the slim loader ...

Well it is unclear on ic2005.com if they provide it with the kit.

Dr. Neo said in the announcement section that you'll need Slimloader IV to flash the menu onto the neo-key and that it will be provided (at least until menu 0.7 -- then apparently you won't need the SlimLoader anymore)
