Cart/Power Kit Problem
« on: February 02, 2006, 12:00:46 PM »
I have a NDS Magic Key 3 , 512Mb NeoFlash Cart and I use the latest Neo Power Kit software. I could put Trainers, Roms and Varioius programs into the Cart just fine and use them.  but when I try to pull out the Save from the game/program its not showing up in the NEO power menu. But it's not that the it erased because i put it back to the DS and it works fine. But my NEO power program is not able to EVER read the what I put into it. Please help me.  :(

You can't backup your save easily using Neo Power kit (I'm assuming you use gst-patcher on your roms and flash them to the cart).

You need to load all your nds roms onto the sd card, and use the menu software to flash a rom from the sd card to the cart or to the mk3 internal memory.  The game saves are then created automatically on the sd card (however, there are bugs in the current menu, so it's not working correctly as of this time -- the next menu should fix most of the saving issues)

Is there anyway to flash or put a save onto the NeoFlash cart?

None that I'm aware of using Neo Power Kit.  NPK only has a limited save and restore feature for roms that save to the SRAM on the cart (even that doesn't work all the time) -- such as gba roms.
If you are using magic key 3, it's likely saving to the mk3 2MB save buffer instead (flashcart isn't used at all for saving nds roms).  Unless you are using the menu software, you can't back this save up, and therefore can't flash a new save, either.
