oh, the magic key uses a SD card? Didn't know that. I thought that the slot in the magic key was used to put an NDS cartridge in there, cuz i remember reading some faq that u need a working nds cartridge plugged into one end for your rom to work, it was used to trick the nds into thinking there actually was a legit cartridge in there. Anyways, remember I don't have an NDS yet, I'm just using my imagination here, I don't know how the NDS is setup. Thanks for all the answers. u guys have been really helpful.

Well actually, that was the case for the MK1. But now, the MK2 and MK3 are available and they have 2 slots in the back. One for the NDS game (to fool the DS into thinking you're running a real game) and one for the SD cart.

Yes thats all right it Tricks the DS - which is very funny  :P

any way i hope that nintendo dont stuff it up in the DS lite so that we cant use our Magic Keys.

And the SD part was done with very smart DS hacking.

The DS lite will certainly use a different revision of the newer firmware.
It will almost certainly not work with the current flashme because of the different levels of backlight, meaning that you'll have to wait until someone hacks THAT one before you can even flash the DS lite.
As for Passme2, it might still work but as I said, until someone hacks the DS lite's firmware, you almost certainly wont be able to use an MK3 just yet.

Thnk you thank you thank you. Oh by the way, I was using my ROm on the GBA SP, not DS. I think I'm going to try the DS. Do you have the same exact tools that I have? My tools are on this link: http://www.divineo.com/cgi-bin/div-us/dd-ds-neo512

No, that's the old one (magic key 1 + neoflash 512)...  Can you still return/exchange it??  I don't think you will be happy with that one -- it saves directly to the SRAM on the cart (saves can easily get corrupted, and it's no longer officially supported as well)..

This is what I have (it's less than what you paid if you bought from Divineo):

http://www.divineo.com/cgi-bin/div-us/dd-nds-neo1

It's the magic key 3 (latest technology) plus a 512 neomax cart.  It uses a SD card to hold the saves permanently (this is more reliable than the magic key 1).  Only thing that is not too great is that the mk3 unit has only 128 Mb internal flash (so anything larger needs to get flashed to the cart).  And 1 gigabit roms currently don't work....

Yes i would have to agree that the Neo-MAX is way better than the magic key 1 + neoflash 512

Yeah, I'm hoping PassMe2 will be compatible with DS Lite.  I think Passme2 is working on the latest firmware 5 revision that recently materialized.
