And all I can say is that I'll actually try to be helpful:

This tool is just a frontend for all the DS tools out there, but it comes with everything you should need and is nice and easy to use :)

Cory made a trimming tool (based on ndstool I think)

http://www.neoflash.com/forum/index.php/topic,1362.30.html

I haven't tried it myself, but I think it works well...

As a matter of fact, trimming them often increases compatibility with the rom and takes up less space.

To "trim" the rom, just unpack it and repack it, you don't need to manually delete anything.
The amount of space you save depends entirely on the ROM itself, but I've seen a 64Mb rom drop to 39Mb.

Use DSLazy.

With it, just navigate to a Rom and pick "Unpack". Then after it's unpacked the rom (only takes a few seconds) click "Repack". It'll ask you where you want to save the packed rom to. Hey presto, you're done.

It doesn't always help, but I've managed to get a few games working this way that didn't work before.

Mine is oh so much simpler than dslazy... lol

http://www.neoflash.com/forum/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=1362.0;attach=279

extract the folder in it to wherever you want it (I put it into the programs folder) and make a shortcut to the batch file wherever is handiest for you. I have my shortcut on the desktop.

Grab a copy of your .nds file, and drag it onto the shortcut and it will do all the rebuilding for you, replacing the origional file you dragged onto the shortcut with a rebuilt one. Ill say it again - this will replace the file you dragged onto the batch shortcut - be sure to use a copy wrather than the origional

If you use Firefox, you can get an extension called "Spellbound". I use it because my spelling is appalling, but as you can see it's very good on this forum :)
