Mk2 and Supercard
« on: February 26, 2006, 02:24:53 AM »
I've a mk2 and a supercard sd, I can't run neo_menu because I always see the menu of supercard.

I've to rename .nds menu file in .gba ?

I try this but selecting the .gba menu from the list of supercard menu doesn't work....

someone can help me?

I'm not quite sure how you're going to go about this.

Curious, why do you want to use the Neo Software if you have a supercard?

Either way, try the Supercard forums as I don't know if anyone here has a supercard to test with.

ME ME PICK ME ... i know how it works  :P

Its the same as the GBAMP:
http://www.aussie-play.com/tut-gbamp.html

To make NDS Roms work with your GBAMovie Player 2.

1 - Go to http://www.ndshb.com/modules.php?name=Content&pa=showpage&pid=26
2 - Download the Chishm Files
3 - Put the files onto the CF card and read what to do.
4 - After that go to http://mightymax.org/gbamp_multiboot.html
5 - Download the files and put the on you CF card.
6 - Put the GBAMP into the GBA slot of the DS and the mk2 in the DS slot.
7 - Boot up ya DS and it should load the multiboot. load the Neoflash Menu 0.4a. - (You may use a newer menu - see neoflash.com)
8 - Make sure you have your SD/MMC card with the NDS file you want.
9 - Select the SD/MMC on the neoflash menu. and then it should go get your nds file thats on the SD/MMC.

TESTED AND WORKING

Please Note: some games lag and take long to load :(

(Should work with the Super card)

I don't think you should rename the file.  You should be able to copy the neo menu .nds file directly to the supercard's SD/CF card, and run it directly from the supercard menu (with the mk2 inserted in the nds slot).

I recall reading somewhere that for NDS compatibility, you need at least firmware revision 1.5 already installed on your supercard.

Cory, the main moderator, has a supercard, so he should know for sure...

... since you have a super card why do you want to use the MK2 ???

theres no point useing the MK2 with the super card (you could use the MK2 as a PassMe)

Actually as far as I know, you need to use the supercard software to patch it in order for it to work with the DS roms, however I'm not sure if that includes the MK menu or not. May as well put on a patched one and an unpatched one and see if they work.

Yes, all the commercial ds roms apparently need to be patched, but the menu file should work fine unpatched (by just copying the .nds version to the sd/cf)

Yeah, looks liked cory tested it.  74Feanor, see his instructions here:

thats the same with the M3 - all games have to be patched (useing a special convertor) it also make the sav data so the game can be stored there. This is also needed if you want to play GBA game on the M3 (and supercard?)

If i am correct all you have to do is but the Max Multi Loader on the root of the SD/CF card and the Menu as well.

You wont be able to use the SD card from the supercard with the menu. You'll only be able to use the SD cart that's plugged into the MK3
