We're not pushing anyone to buy any new Neoflash products (look at the competing products out there and decide what's best for yourself). I waited and didn't even purchase a mk1 myself, since I knew it was a first generation product (with significant flashcart saving issues), that was going to be replaced by something better relatively soon (this occurs in a whole lot of other sectors as well).
That's one of the inherent risks of being an early adopter.... A lot of companies focus their efforts and limited manpower on developing new and better products (leading to diminished support for older products -- that happens everywhere, like it or not)
That being said, I don't think mk2/mk3 is a perfect solution now, either, considering the current issues that need to be resolved. I purchased it anyways since I was happy with its potential. When it's inevitably replaced by a better (and possibly cheaper) product, then you need to decide at that time whether it's worthwhile to upgrade.
As far as the patcher issue, since the Golden Sun Team has dropped support for it, I don't know if any amount of complaining is going to resolve the issue.
