I voted for you PSmonkey, but i was hard to decide between you and AnonymousT!!! Sorry for R-Gear, i never liked R-type shooters and the like. I see a lot of potential in Sandbox and Throttle-X, i know they are both incomplete but can become some great games!

Other games are not bad at all though but maybe need more originality or aren't completed enough like framerate's RPG engine wich can be great.

I can't deny that i voted for PSmonkey because of the N64DD emu he's willing to try to code... >:D

But i surely hope to see AnonymousTipster's Eclipse come to light so that is why  found it hard to decide.

Honestly, i think all should win just for donating to the community. Thats what keeps homebrew alive ;)  If homebrew were small little 5$ things, atleast 1/2 people wouldnt be where they are.  Could you amagine paying 1 $ to see Hello World on the screen?

Why though...  That new PS1 Emulator coming from Sony will be dishing out commercial games, for like... 5 $

Because either some of these games COULD BE commercial games (in quality) and other people just don't mind supporting homebrew developers... I myself have donated money to other developers if their project is worth it to me.

I still plan to finish Eclipse, I am currently looking into libcurls 'multi' function set, which should allow for downloads to continue in the background whilst you browse, possibly even multiple concurrent downloads.
For the moment, though, I want to concentrate on optimising the online portion and getting 16 player working effectively.
 :)

It had to be ThrottleX 0.3 for me. I've played ThrottleX since it was first released and I must say that I enjoy it even moe than Burnout Legends!

I tested a few... TrigWars is really cool (got my vote), Throttle X is a little buggy & rough but quite addictive at the end, R-gear "looks" commercial but too difficult (so seems short)...

Drakonite's puzzles are nicely done too.

But HOW can sandbox have so much voices ??????? It is boring, the physics are provided by the ODE engine, what's up ???? It looks like a mystery for me or his author has a lot of friends... and people who vote for this guy because he's doing another project.... illogical for me, I hope the judges will have more brains... ;-)

Bah, whatever this is a wonderful compo, really better than the 1st PSP shot this spring !

Maybe because its one of the most original submissions and has a lot of potential.
