Nickname: TenSpeed
Project name : Valhalla DS
From: UK
Division : NDS GAME
Original submission : YES
Support for Motion Card : NO
In last NEO Compo this project have won in the top 10 : NO

Valhalla Ds is a port of Valhalla classics Episode 1 - The Crypt. It was originally
released on the Amiga in '94 and remade for PC later. It was the first digital speech
adventure game to come out, and was ground breaking at the time. Unfortunately, there
is no save system in place, but the episode isn't too long. As long as you're careful
you should have no problems finishing with no save.

-Download zip from one of the sources below.
-Extract zip file.
-DLDI patch if your card doesn't auto patch.
-Copy /speech/ folder to the root of your card.
-Slot 1 users, copy .nds file to the root of your card.
-Slot 2 users, copy .ds.gba file to your card (renaming if necessary).
-Boot up and play.
-The intro can be skipped by pressing start if you don't want to read it, otherwise touch
the screen to continue.

Use the d-pad or A,B,X,Y to move. And use the stylus to perform actions.
See readme file for full list of controls.

Download link updated to include Neo 2009 splash screen!!!
*EDIT 2*
Uploaded again, as I stupidly named the folder sounds instead of speech!
Anyone having problems should be able to get it working now.

I just played your game on my SuperCard MiniSD and after some time, maybe 15 minutes, the top screen got scrambled and an error message appeared.

Something like: "Sorry, not enough space to put your sprites." in both english and french.

Also, once you die, you have to reset your DS to play again. Not very user-friendly...

Other than that, great port!

Okay, it happend again, here is the full message:

"Sorry, there just seems to not be enough place to put all your sprites!! Load **ss sprites, or use PA CloneSprite or PA CreateGfx and PA CreateSpriteFromGfx to optimise the space used. You can also use 16color sprites..."

I couldn't read the two letters at "**" because the prince was standing there...

The ** would be "le". "less sprites". It happens when you don't do proper sprite management.
