Since it supports  "NEO2-lite" and "NEO2-SD(tf)"  the usb lead is only used to upload the roms on the MD3in1 FC...

Instead of needing a N64 cart plugged into the back to boot you should have an internal dip socket where you can plug the cic chip you desoldered  of a N64 cart of your region into.

It's easier and safer to use a real game cart for that

If you truly are a N64 fan, then mostly you have most needed game carts original you can use to piggyback on the flashcart.

But anyway, this topic is about the Megadrive/Genesis flashcart,
No need to make it a N64 one, there's another topic already about that

Cart arrived to the main post office, tomorrow it will be in the office of my neighborhood and I will be able to finally get it. And to start testing!

Some pictures of my Sega MegaDrive/MegaCD/32X setup testdrive (With Tototek 64Mb Flashcart) The Game Final Fight CD is the US-NTSC version, from there the US Bios on the MegaCD (It has a Multi region bios soldered in)
(And yes, it's a MegaCD 1 with MegaDrive 1 (model with EXT port on the back) on the right side of the picture. The model 1 MegaDrive on top of the MegaCD 2 doesn't have the EXT port in the back anymore)

System is connected with a RGB Cable and sound comes from the headphone port, this way i'm able to enjoy Stereo sound on my tv instead of mono.

So i'm all set up for the Neo MD FlashCart 3in1

In order to play Sega CD games with my mega drive 2 i have to get a Sega CD board or a Mega CD??

I'm confused with all these names ...

No,

- find and buy a eeprom flashed with the multi bios file (can't give that so)
- open your MegaCD and solder a Multi Bios chip on top of the old bios.
- Place your switches and solder the wires
- Close your MegaCD
- Set switches to the regio your game is.

* MegaCD = JPN/EUROPE
* SegaCD = USA

Your Megadrive must be moddified to (as far as i can remmember, correct me if i'm wrong)
