In last NEO Compo this project have won in the top 10 : NO

-----------------------------------

The game is based on the darts pub game around the clock.

You must work your way around the board starting for 1 through to 20; then you must hit the outer bull, then the bull to finish.

There are three levels of difficulty:-

Easy, Singles (all singles from 1 to 20)
Medium, Doubles (all doubles from 1 to 20)
Hard, Trebles (all trebles from 1 to 20)

The dart will drop-out if you hit the metal on the dartboard, or the tip of the dart hits another dart.

[CONTROLS]

Cursors to move dart
B = Throw Dart
X = Toggle music on/off

Watch the powerbar when throwing the dart as this will chage the trajectory of the dart.  Always try and throw at maximum power.

You can submit your high scores, which the leaderboard is hosted on the homepage of http://www.dshomebrew.co.uk

Hope you enjoy the Game, Gaz  :)

You mean the deviation on the dart? you have to fight against the forces otherwise it would be too easy.

The game is based on the darts pub game...

Is it supposed to simulate intoxication or just a terribly unsteady hand?

It's not a simulator, just a bit of fun.  If I had a switch to remove the deviation from the dart; you'd switch it right back on, because the game would be too easy.

*pant* *pant* *pant* Too easy! My final score was 15340 (hmm, but I only remember throwing 1534 darts... a bug perhaps?) and it took me over an hour, but I did it.

A few things to note, however. When I finished and I tried to play again (at the medium level  :( ) I could throw the darts, I could hit the 1 section, but it wouldn't advance to section 2. When I restarted the game, it worked fine. Furthermore, I don't know if this is a bug or not but the clock only goes to 59:59 (or was I supposed to beat it before it reached that point?  :( ) it then loops through the 59th minute.

Overall, it might have a few bugs but it's a pretty neat (and hard) game.

I hope this play test was helpful  ::sm-22.gif:: . Vaya con Dios ( I'm not Spanish but I like that phrase).

Where you hitting the doubles on medium?

Thanks for testing the game :) I initially set the time to a limit of 59mins.  Also the number of darts is limited to 9999.

It takes me about 5-6mins to complete on easy.  I may have to increase this on medium/hard or reduce the diviation a little.

I don't wait for the powerbar to hit max.  Most of the time, I aim a little above then shoot the dart.

Ah, I see. Maybe I should try that again.

I did that too, but the dart always went the wrong way... so I threw it and hoped the next one would deviate better. Oh well. I guess I just need to be patient... or practice more...

Oh... Just so you know, I didn't try uploading my score to the leader board... I don't have access to the right kind of router ( i.e. a wide open one). Mine will not permit my DS access.

One last bug to report...

There is a mysterious red line that appears on the dartboard occasionally.

The bug on the high scores has been fixed.  And a couple of enhancements.

I don't know what the red line is; what flash cart are you using?
