Great Game!

I felt it was somewhat hard to figure out how the patterns worked, but that could be due to lack of sleep :x
After I got it the game was pretty entertaining.

And now, the actual reason for posting this reply:

In level-015 ("Give me a C") I start of with only 12 moves left, though it would require 14 moves to move from the start corner to battery corner.
Is there some kinda trick to this or is it a bug?

Great. I will play through all the levels and report if I find anything.

Just curious: how do you decide on the amount of moves for a level? What "procedures" do you follow? Because sometimes I end up with exactly 0 moves left when I complete and at other times I have multiple left.

You should add the amounts of moves left for a completed level. And place it next to the "Done" notice.

EDIT: Just encountered a typo in the name for level 24
"Regualr stairs" - "Regular stairs"

EDIT#2: A good example for why you should have it register the amount of moves left would be because some levels currently have way too many. I had 11 moves left on level 39. It would make it easier to remember which levels need optimization since you wouldn't bother to make a note about 'moves left for level ## in SAR' elsewhere.

EDIT#3: Shape of 0 in level 40 seems a bit off. Intended?

EDIT#4: Level-044 name typo: "bettery"-"battery". Unless it's some pun?

Well. Most of it would be minor changes. Apart from making it remember the moves one had left when finishing. I'm not exactly skilled in programming so I wouldn't know how much work that would be.

For level-051: typo "ma"-"me".

EDIT: level-053: same typo as level-051: "ma"-"me"
EDIT#2: level-054: same

EDIT#3: Might as well just...
Level-059: Moves left: 2
Level-060: Moves left: 3

EDIT#4: level-064: typo: "beem"-"beam"

EDIT#5: level-071: you use the verb "remember" but I guess you should use "remind" instead. And add an "s" to the end of the word. "reminds"

EDIT#6:
Level-075: Moves left: 1
Level-077: Moves left: 1
Level-080: Moves left: 2
Level-084: Moves left: 1
*Of course this doesn't mean that you should change it. Having more moves ease up the levels. I'm just stating that they don't require them all.

EDIT#7: Forgot to mention: It would be awesome if you could implement a menu for when you fail. With the options: "retry" and "menu". To optimize the time used between failure and restart.

- New version with all the bug fixed uploaded
- Updated link in the first post

I think i'll not add a "move left count" for each level, the game is not about optimization, the goal is to unlock all levels.
The move counter it's only a way to make harder a level.
I can remove the move counter, but if i do that than you can finish each level just with:
- change color,
- change color,
- move one step closer to the batteries.

I've planned to add more levels as soon as i can so ...
i have started to think about how many levels can i get ... there are quite a lot:
roughly 3^64 possible levels configuration
If you count that i've left the possibility to use neutral tile [without color, so you can always pass on them] you can get 4^64 levels AND if you add all possible starting and ending position and the two initial color for each level you reach:

 ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ???

27875930000000000000000000000000000000000 levels.

 ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ???

OK OK, a lot of them are copy [with color shift] and/or rotation of each other, but that's enought!

I'm sorry for the absence of the "you finish the level with x move left" in the contest version, may be i'll add it, but i'm not so shure of it.
I think it's better to add more and more levels and play them instead of try to catch the end in the smallest number of move [but that's may be funny too!!! ... may be i'll add a new game mode 8)].

GOOD POINT!! Back @ work  ::sm-08.gif::

Level-084: Moves left: 1

you catch the reason 8)
And another thing, YOU ARE BETTER THAN ME because to get the needed move for each levels i've got to play them all ... that's not a good sign  :'(

Fair! It's your game and I shouldn't try (I didn't) to hijack the project.  ^-^

You shouldn't remove the move counter. That would be sad and boring since every level could be completed the same way as you stated.

If you can make the "retry-menu" work ...  :-*

Yay! Trying it now!

In a sense it's actually too late since I've just completed the last level right now. But since more levels can be easily added...  ;D
