Dr.Neo the app says : "Failed to authenticate encrypted data".
 ~sm-34.gif~

Edit i have tried both with 17pin & 8pin cable. Still no luck.
Maybe it isn't supposed to authenticate the data?

Im using windows 7 x64 by the way.

The 8 pin cable is the one to use - the 17 pin one is for the SNES cart.

I get the ID code of the target device doesn't match the DAT file.

Yeah that's what it shows now.
Maybe the app is missing a .DAT file or something?

Cable was upside down. If you have the cable in correctly on both sides, the LED on the N64 Myth will light up.

It works fine as long as the cable is right.

I have upgraded my Neo N64 Myth Cart and 16Kbit EEPROM saves appear to be fixed!  ;D Thanks so much Dr.neo  :-*

I have tested Perfect Dark and the save file now works fine, also Neon Genesis Evangelon now boots fine as well.

I have not yet tested if you can now backup and restore saves correctly with Neo2 Ultra Menu - that was the only other problem I noticed before. I will test and update soon.

Tip - When upgrading insert the flex cable with the white side facing upwards and be careful not to bend the NDP flex cable too much. Also when inserting the ends hold the little stiff card bit near the end of the flex cable, not the flexible part.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dr.neo, could I also just ask what the SRAM 512Kb and SRAM 1Mb saves sizes are for in the Neo2 Ultra Menu? To the best of my knowledge there were only four types of cartridge saves used on N64 games:-

EEPROM 4Kbit
EEPROM 16Kbit
SRAM 256Kbit
Flash 1Mbit

So I just wondered what the SRAM 512Kb and SRAM 1Mb options were for in Neo2 Ultra Menu?

Thanks for all your hard work Dr.neo :)

Okay now it flashes the cart.

But , on x64 it doesn't work. Im doing it via windows xp 32bit sp3.
And the menu has totally different color(its pink).

The color indicates whether it finds the USB programmer or not.

Well, the cart is updated and still works. That's always a good sign. Now to get cracking on that menu...
