MSX2 Emulator compatible with Neo N64 Myth Cart
« on: August 30, 2010, 04:54:39 AM »

OMG 2 emulators on one day, this MSX2 emulator is call UltraMSX. This MSX2 emulator is based on fMSX 1.5 by Marat Fayzullin. , and there's neither open source nor official web site. So I add the emulator at the end of this post.

Instructions:

With the rominserter.exe you can insert your favorite game in the emulator ULTRAMSX.V64. At the moment the maximum romsize is limited to 128kb. The rominserter will generate a file called 'Patched.v64'. Fix the checksum of the file with RTOOLS or IAS or another tool that can calculate the checksum, I use rtools.exe, http://www.neoflash.com/forum/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=6273.0;attach=2593 , just open rtools, look for your game, and select ir, then click on ROM--->CALCULATE CRC, when it ask to fix, press YES, and that's it, rename if you want and put the game on SD roms folder or root, and load it from menu like normally you load N64 games.

Tested with Metal Gear and Vampire Killer aka Castlevania

UltraMSX2 v1.0

UltraMSX2 is an MSX2 emulator for N64
based on fMSX 1.5 by Marat Fayzullin. The
AY8910 and SCC emulation are replaced
for better sound emulation (ripped of
the MESS project).

With the rominserter you can insert your
favorite game in the emulator. At the moment
the maximum romsize is limited to 128kb. The
rominserter will generate a file called 'Patched.v64'.
Fix the checksum of the file with RTOOLS or IAS or
another tool that can calculate the checksum
and download it to you N64.

I have tested the rominserter with the following roms:
- Hyper sports 1
- F1 Spirit
- Maze of Galious
- Metal Gear
- Nemesis2
- Parodius
- Qbert
- Vampire Killer
- The Threasure of Usas
- Kingsvalley II
- Salamander
- Gryzor

Enoy it!

Jos Kwanten.
