[Denied] Going into new territory; Need power!
« on: September 23, 2005, 01:43:28 AM »

I'm an active developer and been around for a while. I used to work with BooB!  the dreamcast developer group and have recently been using osx86 as a method of learning how to port applications, cross-compilation and assembly modification.

I have released on osx ports of uae, atarix800, aleph_one engine and have other various applications written for osx such as pbdoom and bochs.

Currently, I am wanting to get back into the console aspect of programming and attempted to get started with psp. I assisted the now-defunct wab with their original loader & nid hacking before 2.5 or 3.0 were mentioned and stopped working with them once the drama/2.5 **** started.

I would like to work with DS because of the functionality it has. I would like to get uae and other various computer emulators ported to it as well as write my own homebrew applications such as a voice memo recorder; which would evolve into a mp3 player and maybe more.

The reason I'm interested in computer emulators is because the DS is the first handheld that has the capability of playing computer based applications without sucking. An onscreen keyboard can easily be navigated with the stylus as well as use the stylus as a mouse.

Right now I do not have a website setup as I am in the process of switching hosts. But I do have hosting purchased & a domain so a site will be created.

If you need some examples of work, here's links to recent ports on osx:

since you can't run them probably, here's a pic for proof that they work:

Hope to hear from you soon!

Oh and I forgot: everything I plan on doing WILL be opensource

Hello there,
It would be nice if you could first send us a DS port demo made by you in order to receive the free MK2. Thanks for your interest :)
