The game requires an 6105cic cart to be plugged on the myth64 , and you can only load it with 256Mbit ZIPRAM (NEO2PRO 1024Mb + 256Mbit zipram) cart.On the cart that you've mentioned there's simply not enough space(128Mbit zipram=16MB. while game's binary size is 256Mbit )...

Not saving at all ? Did your neo2 cart's battery died ? If so just reset to menu (press reset button on n64) and wait until the menu loads up so that the save routine has completed its task.

Edit:And also make sure to use the latest n64 menu... http://www.neoflash.com/forum/index.php/topic,7430.0.html

no menu on the cart just load 1 game FLASH

Burn the menu on the MENU FLASH and press START while in menu to switch between game flash/sd browsing mode...

saving works for me when I use a SD cart

but how does it work when I want to use the flash rom for this 256mbit game? It shows that it uses a FRAM Savetype

after saving and rebooting via power reset it somehow overwrites the save and all information is gone?!

No idea what's going on since you never provide enough information and i have to make guesses...
Which neo2 cart are you using for all test cases ?
Do you use FLASH-ONLY neo2 gba carts ? if so just *don't* (Storing save states on neo2 cart gba sram is just bad idea) ...

The menu does it for you , but : 1)GBA SRAM is not reliable(for example : if the battery dies you lose your saves)  , 2)GBA SRAM has a 4Mbit save limit   :(
Anyway,
Just use SD mode &  neo2 sd pro cart (Neo2 pro 256Mbit zipram + 1024Mbit flash) for best compatibility or if its your only option at the moment make sure that the SRAM's battery isn't dead...

Also read this : (part of the menu usage instructions)

Quote

Auto load/save of save ram is supported. When you run a game and
it uses save ram of any kind (except ext cart), the save ram will be
automatically loaded from "/menu/n64/save/<game_name>.<save extension>"
when you have an SD card. If the file doesn't exist, the save ram is
cleared. When you restart the menu the next time, the save ram will be
automatically saved to the file. If the directory mentioned doesn't exist
on your SD card, create it or this will not work.

The extension for the file depends on the type of save ram used. For SRAM,
the extension is ".sra"; for EEPROM, it is ".eep"; and for FRAM, it is
".fla". These files are compatible with N64 emulator save ram files. DexDrive
save files have an extension of ".n64" and must be converted to a supported
form before they can be used.

When you don't have an SD card plugged in, or are using a cart without the
SD interface, the save ram is saved in the SRAM on the GBA cart. In that
case, when you run the game, a save slot selector screen will be shown.
If the game already has a slot in the SRAM, the selector screen will just
show which slot will be written to. If the game doesn't have a slot in the
SRAM, you will be asked to select one. Press A or B to select a slot, or
press Z to erase the currently high-lighted slot.

The number of slots available depends on the type of save ram the game uses.

4Kbit EEPROM:  8 slots
16Kbit EEPROM: 8 slots
32KByte SRAM:  3 slots
128KByte FRAM: 1 slot
