The San Antonio Spurs will try to take a 2-0 cushion over the Oklahoma City Thunder when the two teams continue the Western Conference finals tonight at AT&T Center. Jason Croom Jersey . Catch all the action on TSN2 and TSN GO at 9pm et/6pm pt. San Antonio took the series lead Monday night with a 122-105 home victory in Game 1. The Spurs used a balanced scoring attack and clamped down defensively late in the third quarter to claim the win. Five San Antonio players scored in double figures and the Spurs outshot the Thunder from both the field and behind the 3-point line. Russell Westbrook knocked down a jumper with 5:09 left in the third to give the Thunder a 76-75 lead -- their first since a 5-4 edge early in the first -- but after Kevin Durant drained a jumper of his own nearly 30 seconds later, San Antonio turned up the intensity on the defensive end. The Spurs held Oklahoma City to just one field goal over the next seven-plus minutes, turning a one-point deficit into a 13-point advantage early in the fourth quarter. Durants 3-pointer just over three minutes into the fourth brought the visitors within 95-85, but the Thunder failed to get any closer the rest of the way as the Spurs ran away with the victory. Tim Duncan led the charge offensively with 27 points and seven rebounds, while Manu Ginobili and Danny Green combined for 34 points on 7-of-9 shooting from 3-point range. Ginobili netted 18 points, while Green and Kawhi Leonard each scored 16 in the win Tony Parker, who sustained a left hamstring strain in San Antonios series- clinching Game 5 win over Portland in the conference semifinals, supplied 14 points and 12 assists for the Spurs. "We were taking what we were given," Duncan said. "We knew wed be able to get into the middle and attack a little more than we have." The reason the Spurs were able to attack the middle was due to the absence of OKCs big man, Serge Ibaka. He injured his left calf in Game 6 of the conference semifinals against the Los Angeles Clippers and is expected to miss the remainder of the postseason. San Antonio exploited the advantage and trounced the Thunder in the paint to the tune of 66-32. "Were a no-excuse team," Oklahoma City coach Scott Brooks said. "Serge is out. Hes not coming back. We have to play better." The Spurs shot 57.5 percent from the field and 53 percent from beyond the arc. Oklahoma City shot respectable percentages of 46.3 from the floor and 44.4 outside the 3-point line. Durant registered 28 points, nine rebounds and five assists, while Westbrook finished with 25 points, seven assists and five boards for the Thunder, who won all four meetings with the Spurs during the regular season. The Thunder trailed by as many 15 points in the first half before Westbrook and Durant fueled OKCs comeback in the third, scoring all but two of the teams 23 points in the period. Westbrook registered the Thunders first nine points in the third, including a jumper with 8:13 on the clock that brought the team within 72-68. Ginobili buried a 3-pointer to quell the Westbrook barrage, but Durant ripped off five straight points and Westbrook followed with a free throw and a jumper to give Oklahoma City a 76-75 lead. Durant followed two free throws from Boris Diaw with another jumper, but the Thunder managed just one field goal -- a Durant jumper with 22.9 seconds left in the frame -- for nearly nine minutes as the Spurs surged ahead for good. "The third quarter was obviously our best quarter, but we didnt close out well," Durant said. "Were not taking any moral victories out of it." Game 3 will be Sunday night in Oklahoma City. Matt Barkley Jersey . Many of those eyes are in the United States of America, a country that the sport has wanted on its side for some time. On Sunday the football Gods delivered once again, only this time it was time for good old USA to experience as much heartache as joy. Brown opened the scoring with a 71-yard punt return for a touchdown, then put the game away late in the fourth quarter with a 63-yard TD catch. He ended with seven catches for 128 yards. The Steelers (11-5), who ended the regular season with four straight wins, secured the No. 3 seed and will host No. 6 seed Baltimore next Saturday at 8:15 p.m. ET. Its typical AFC North ball. We take a lot of pride in being from the North. I look forward to it, said Steelers coach Mike Tomlin. Its going to be typical Steelers/Ravens. Steelers/Ravens in January, its been a while since we had that. The Bengals (10-5-1) will play at the fourth-seeded and AFC South-champion Colts next Sunday at 1:05. Ben Roethlisberger, who played through an upset stomach, completed 24-of-38 passes for 317 yards, two touchdowns and an interception for the Steelers. The talk in Pittsburgh this week will be about LeVeon Bells right knee. Bell left in the third quarter with a hyperextended knee following a collision with Cincinnati safety Reggie Nelson. Prior to the injury, Bell carried the ball eight times for 20 yards and caught six passes for 80 yards. Andy Dalton completed 27-of-38 passes for 244 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions for the Bengals. Jeremy Hill carried the ball 23 times for 100 yards. Trailing 20-17, the Bengals had a shot to take the lead when they blew up a Steelers fake punt with about six minutes left in the game. Punter Brad Wings pass was intercepted by Dane Sanzenbacher. But the Bengals quickly gave the ball back to the Steelers. Cornerback Antwon Blake forced wide receiver A.J. Green to fumble at the Pittsburgh 30 with 3:51 left. Brown sealed the victory with his 63-yard catch-and-run for a touchdown. We had a rough day, said Bengals coach Marvin Lewis. Its key to take care of football. We didnt do a very good job of it. The punt return at the beginning of the game, we got back into the game but we continued to turn the foottball over and I thought the defense played pretty well throughout the day. Thurman Thomas Jersey. Then we gave up the big play there at the end of the football game. Its hard to win consistently like that. The Steelers took a 7-0 lead on Browns punt return score. Brown started to his right, reversed field and raced down the left sideline with 10:50 left in the first quarter. The Bengals were driving when Brice McCain picked off Dalton at the Pittsburgh 2-yard line. The Steelers failed to capitalize, going three-and-out. Cincinnati started from the Pittsburgh 42 following a short punt. Brandon Tate kept the drive alive with a 14-yard catch on 4th-and-3. Three plays later on 3rd-and-6, Dalton completed a 17-yard shovel pass to Giovani Bernard for a touchdown. Bernard jumped over a defender before going in for the game-tying score with 2:43 remaining in the period. The Bengals got the ball right back following a Pittsburgh turnover. Wallace Gilberry recovered for the Bengals at the Pittsburgh 34. Cincinnati, however, had to settle for a 39-yard Mike Nugent field goal with 12:32 left in the second quarter. The Steelers moved the ball to the Cincinnati 11-yard line, but had to settle for a 29-yard Shaun Suisham field goal. McCain came up with his second interception of the game just two plays into the ensuing Cincinnati possession. Martavis Bryant then took a wide receiver screen 21 yards for a touchdown to give the Steelers a 17-10 lead. Pittsburgh tacked on three more points before the half. Suisham capped an 11- play drive with a 25-yard field goal. Nugent missed a 50-yard field goal on the first possession of the second half. The Steelers were driving late in the third quarter when Roethlisberger was picked off by Nelson. The Bengals then put together an impressive 15-play, 89- yard drive that Jermaine Gresham capped with a 5-yard TD catch. Game Notes Pittsburgh also beat the Bengals in Cincinnati on Dec. 7 ...
